NK Tarheels win 7th Grade State Tournament

The NK Tarheels cruise to the AAU 7th grade State Championship this weekend at the KBA in Lexington.  With three of the final four teams coming from their pool, they not only won their pool but done so in convincing fashion.  Thier average margin of victory for the tournament was 22 pts a game.  They averaged a staggering 48.8 pts for the first half in the five game and 75 pts a game.  Cole Vonhandorf had no equal, scoring 25, 25, 25, 36, and 30 in the finals for a 28.2 average.  Cole has a big time motor that doesn't stop.  Cole clearly proved himselt to be the best 7th grader in the NKY area and on a very short list of best 7th graders in the state.  Cole isn't the only talented kid on this team.  This team is loaded at all positions with the likes of Cameron Racke, JC Hawkins, Dante Hendrix, Brent Angel, Chase Ross, Hunter Meyer, Mathew Thiel, Devon McClendon, Gannon Huff and Joe Neihaus.  This team finished 6th last year and AAU D2 Nationals, I look for them to make a long run into that tournament again this summer.
